Silo Sealing Grout

Impermeable Seal: Creates a watertight and airtight barrier, eliminating leakage of stored materials (dust, grains, powders) and preventing ingress of water and moisture. Non-Shrink & High-Strength: Expands slightly during curing to ensure complete contact with substrate surfaces, eliminating voids and providing exceptional long-term compressive strength. Exceptional Adhesion: Bonds tenaciously to concrete, steel, and common silo construction materials, even on vertical and overhead surfaces.

Key Features & Benefits:

Impermeable Seal: Creates a watertight and airtight barrier, eliminating leakage of stored materials (dust, grains, powders) and preventing ingress of water and moisture.

Non-Shrink & High-Strength: Expands slightly during curing to ensure complete contact with substrate surfaces, eliminating voids and providing exceptional long-term compressive strength.

Exceptional Adhesion: Bonds tenaciously to concrete, steel, and common silo construction materials, even on vertical and overhead surfaces.

Durable & Weather Resistant: Withstands freeze-thaw cycles, chemical exposure (mild alkalinity/acidity typical in silos), and harsh environmental conditions.

Pumpable & Flowable: Designed for easy application via standard grout pumps, flowing readily into cracks, voids, and behind liners without segregation.

Early Strength Gain: Achieves sufficient handling strength quickly, minimizing silo downtime.

Corrosion Protection: Seals out moisture and oxygen, helping to protect embedded steel reinforcement.

Primary Application Scenarios:

Leakage & Dust Control:

Sealing cracks, honeycombs, and construction joints in concrete silos and bunkers.

Sealing around penetrations (manholes, vents, level probes).

Filling voids behind deteriorated or detached liners (steel, tile, etc.).

Preventing fugitive dust emissions for environmental compliance and product loss prevention.

Water Ingress Prevention:

Sealing cracks and joints to stop rainwater or groundwater infiltration, protecting stored materials from spoilage and preventing internal corrosion.

Structural Repair & Reinforcement:

Filling spalled areas and repairing impact damage.

Stabilizing loose or vibrating liners by filling the cavity behind them.

Reinforcing areas of concrete deterioration.

Liner Bedding & Support:

Providing a solid, uniform, and impermeable bedding layer for new or replacement silo liners (steel, poly, ceramic).

Anchor Grouting: Securing anchor bolts and base plates for silo equipment.

Installation:

Surface Prep: Critical. Remove all loose material, dirt, oil, grease, laitance, and rust. Clean cracks/joints thoroughly (sandblasting, water jetting, wire brushing). Pre-wet substrate (SSD condition) but remove standing water.

Mixing: Use clean water and a high-shear paddle mixer. Mix for 3-5 minutes to achieve smooth, lump-free consistency. Avoid over-mixing.

Placement: Pump grout under low pressure (typically < 1 bar / 15 psi) starting from the lowest point. Use injection ports/packs for cracks/voids. Fill steadily to avoid air pockets. Tool surface if exposed.

Curing: Protect placed grout from direct sun, wind, rain, and freezing for at least 24-48 hours. Maintain damp conditions (misting, wet burlap, curing compounds).
